Drucker Experience Summer Program

The admission process for business schools is very competitive, and at The Drucker School is no different – we get numerous applications every year. However, we pride ourselves on offering a diverse classroom setting, which means we welcome many students who don’t have a prior background in business. That’s why we created this summer program. It brings these students together, and prepares them for rigors of an MBA. This special summer program is not offered anywhere else, and it’s a great way to get started.

The summer bridge program, will run May 19 to July 15, 2008, and includes:

  • Three classes for MBA course credit
  • GMAT preparatory classes conducted by Kaplan Education Services
  • Priority consideration for Fall admission and additional institutional aid upon retaking the GMAT

Why Choose the Drucker Experience Summer Program?

As part of the summer program, you will work directly with our faculty, who are successfully continuing the work of Peter F. Drucker, “the father of modern management.” So, in addition to teaching traditional business, our faculty focus on values-based management training and the human factor of successful organizations, meanwhile, opening doors for creative dialogue in an empowering think-tank environment.

Our school is ranked top 10 for faculty and also our classroom experience.

As part of the Drucker Experience Summer Program you will take Economic Strategy, with Professor Jay Prag, who has won several teacher-of-the-year awards at the Claremont Colleges (Monday and Wednesday from 7:00pm-9:50pm), and you can even opt to take a course called Organizational Behavior & Theory (Monday and Wednesday from 1:00pm-4:00pm). The third class being offered is Financial Accounting, with Professor Bergevin. This is a bonus class being offered after the summer program is over, and it will take place from July 14 to August 30, 2008 on Mondays and Wednesdays from 7-9:50pm.

Along with these classes, you will take a nine-session GMAT preparatory course with Kaplan, Tuesdays from 7:00pm-9:30pm. This specialized Kaplan class offers complete course materials, practice tests, personalized student homepage, Kaplan Test Prep Center access, Ultimate Practice Test and a full suite of online resources. In addition, you will be able to access the GMAT quiz bank, which is a database of 1,000 exclusive questions exclusively for Drucker students. At the end of the course, you will be expected to retake the GMAT exam. For those students who scored below a 570, if you perform well enough on the exam, and you are able to score 570 or above, your application will be reevaluated for admission in to the MBA program, and also be considered for institutional aid.
