Christopher “Andy” Brown, (B.S. Music Education, Ball State University) is a current student in the MA in Arts Management program at Claremont Graduate University. Andy is also Strategic Planning Coordinator for the Los Angeles Master Chorale as well as a professional singer with the Chorale.
What made you decide to join the MAAM Program?
“I knew that I wanted to find an academic program that was grounded in the arts and that provided the necessary foundation in management I desired to prepare me for a leadership role in the dynamic field of arts management. CGU was able to provide the unique balance I was looking for with a dual focus on management and the arts and a shared emphasis on theory and practice.”
How has being in the MAAM Program impacted your professional career? I am happy to say that when I started in the MAAM program I held the position of Community Programs Manager. One year after joining the program I moved up to marketing manager and now hold the position of strategic planning coordinator. The MAAM program is certainly providing me the tools and education to help me reach my career goals."
