Semester Unit Costs Summer 2008 Calculator

This calculator has been developed by the Office of Student Financing to help you estimate your semester bill. It is for information purposes only and does not replace any billing

STAFFORD LOAN DISBURSEMENT* - The maximum Stafford Loan amount in an academic year is $20,500 (less origination fees of no more than 2%). Students awarded $10,250 a semester will typically net approximately $10,000.

FELLOWSHIP AMOUNT - Amounts are based on information received from your department and are a percentage of your anticipated unit load.

GRAD PLUS DISBURSEMENT* - Amounts vary and are based on your cost of attendance. A federal origination fee of 4% will be deducted from the requested amount. Please visit www.cgu.edu/studentfinancing to get more information and apply for the Grad PLUS.

PRIVATE LOAN DISBURSEMENT - Amounts vary and the lender will let you know if any processing fees will be removed from your net disbursement. Please include amount with "other aid" when using the calculator below.

OTHER AID - Aid received from outside the university (i.e. outside scholarships and/or employer tuition reimbursement).

BALANCE/REFUND - If TOTAL SEMESTER AID  is greater than TOTAL SEMESTER COST, you will receive a refund from the Student Accounts Office. If it is less, you will owe the balance.

The unit price for fall 2008 and spring 2009 is $1465 with a $731 discount at the twelfth unit. Because of the difference in unit price, this calculator was not intended to be used by students in the Executive Management and Art programs.
