Enrollment in Dual Degree Programs

New students and students currently enrolled in a single degree may pursue dual degrees at CGU upon the approval of the two departments involved.  For continuing students, it is recommended that requests to enroll in a dual degree program be submitted prior to the completeion of 16 units at CGU.

Upon approval, enrollment in dual degrees program is effective at the start of the next semester.

NOTE TO ALUMNI:  Alumni who return to CGU after more than one semester from the completion of a first degree must submit a new application to Admissions.

  1. Students must complete a Dual Degree Request Form to declare their intent to pursue the two degrees.  Approval of both departments is required and enrollment in dual degree programs is effective at the beginning of the semester following the approval and submission of the form.
  2. In collaboration with advisors in the two departments, students must complete the Dual Degree Coursework Proposal Form.  While the Proposal Form should be attached to the Dual Degree Request Form, new students are allowed one semester to work out program requirements with each of the dual degree departments.
  3. All approved forms are submitted to the Registrar's Office.

Students are responsible for complying with all CGU policies and limitations regarding multiple degrees at/from CGU as well as for the double-counting and transferring of units between programs.

Upon approval of all program changes, students should consult with Financial Aid to determine any implications to aid as a result of enrollment changes.
