Catherine Herrera, MBA alumnus

We build "thick skin" as we experience the peaks and valleys through life. We mature and become stronger but like the banana, deep inside we are soft. I am passionate, driven by emotion and guided by intuition. The vibrant lamp yields light, energy, hope, optimism, youth, and my unique flair for amusing eccentricity. A USC pompom embodies my dedication to academic acheivement as well as school spirit and Herrera family tradition. My camera is a photographic diary holding cherished memories with family, friends and stunning moments outdoors. Running outside is my peace inspiring meditation tool, fostering self-motivation and expansive awareness. My faith is the center of my being and the center of my life. Prayer and values are my foundation, enabling focus and purpose.
The Drucker Institute

The bonsai tree cleverly represents the legacy of Peter F. Drucker as an exquisite tree of knowledge with extensive longevity. The Drucker Institute cultivates this tree through the deconstruction, rethinking and building upon of Peter's greatly venerated ideas and ideals. To nurture its growth, the Institute communicates internationally with followers of Drucker's wisdom. The green booklet encapsulates the vision of the Institute. The tassel signifies the Institute's role as a campus-wide resource to Claremont Graduate University and the Peter F. Drucker and Masatoshi Ito Graduate School of Management. Collaboration with students, our future leaders, will facilitate with the Institute's thriving mission. A marker symbolizes integral tools for the Institute: communication, innovation and creativity. In turn, the eraser encourages flexibility.
