Guidelines
- All continuing Humanities students and Music students will register online via the student portal.
- All new students must use paper-based registration.
- If you wish to audit a course, enroll in an independent study/Master's Research, or enroll in an undergraduate course that is currently not cross-listed, you will need to process these requests through Holly Domingo, Student Support Secretary, holly.domingo@cgu.edu.
- All students who are not registered by the end of the Add/Drop period will be withdrawn from CGU. Please refer to Academic Calendars for specific term dates.
- Add/Drop Period - for changes in registration, additional deadlines, refund schedule and more.
- Students must maintain continuous registration each semester. If you will not be taking coursework, but have not completed your degree requirements, you must register for Doctoral Studies (doctoral students) or Continuous Registration (masters students).
Semester Specifics
Summer 2009
- Registration for new students (enrolling for first time) usually occurs at orientation. Please check with your academic department for specifics.
- Registration for continuing students is April 20 - May 18, 2009.
- Late registration fees are not incurred in the summer semester.
Fall 2009
- Registration for new students (enrolling for first time) usually occurs at orientation. Please check with your academic department for specifics.
- Registration for continuing students is April 20 – August 7, 2009
- Registration for continuing students which are posted / processed after August 7 will incur a $160 late registration fee
- Continuing students will maintain portal access to make changes (add / drop) to registration until September 14. After which all changes must be process by your academic department. Please submit a Change in Registration form; click here to access the Change in Registration Form in the Paper-Based Registration section.
Spring 2010
- Registration for new students (enrolling for first time) usually occurs at orientation.
- Registration for continuing students is Nov. 18 - Dec.18, 2009
- Registration for continuing students which are posted / processed after Dec. 18 will incur a $160 late registration fee
- Continuing students will maintain portal access to make changes (add / drop) to registration until February 2, 2010. After which all changes must be processed by your academic department. Please submit a Change in Registration form; click here to access the Change in Registration Form in the Paper-Based Registration section.
Restrictions
- Some courses may be restricted to students of that program for the first two weeks of open registration period.
- HISTORY students MUST receive course approval from Professor Janet Brodie (janet.brodie@cgu.edu) before registering online.
- MUSIC students MUST receive course approval and a Permission Number from Professor Robert Zappulla (robert.zappulla@cgu.edu) before registering online. You will not be able to register for any Music courses without the course permission number.
Pending Enrollments
If your academic advisor feels it is necessary to make adjustments to your schedule, they will contact you and require you to make the necessary changes. If you fail to make the necessary changes, the department will make them for you.
