Drucker Alumni Mentoring Program

It is without a doubt that mentoring stimulates and challenges its participants. The importance of the role of the mentor is highlighted by the experience of Jim Collins, the celebrated author of best selling books like “Built to Last” and “Good to Great.”

Mentor: Someone whose hindsight can become your foresight

Collins talked about how as a young man and as a virtual nobody, he would go to the famous business sage Peter Drucker and ask him for advice. Drucker welcomed him and became his mentor. He would be generous in sharing with Collins ideas that eventually helped him succeed in his field of endeavor. And just minutes before he closed his talk Collins looked intently at the audience and solemnly asked this question: “How can you pay back a mentor?” The way Drucker mentored him?

His answer? “Go out and mentor others.”

The Drucker School is proud to offer a viable mentoring program which fully reflects the Drucker philosophy. The program is carefully designed to match each first year MBA and MFE student with an Alumnus who has compatible professional and personal interests.
