Biography
Carolyn Angus is Director of the George G. Stone Center for Children’s Books at Claremont Graduate University. For more than 20 years, she has been a teacher of children’s and young adult literature, a book reviewer, and a frequent presenter at national and international conferences on children’s and young adult books and their use in classrooms. Her area of special interest is international literature. She chaired the United States Board on Books for Young People’s 2008 and 2009 Outstanding International Books committees and is co-editor of the International Reading Association’s children’s literature and reading journal, The Dragon Lode.
On a personal note, she enjoys reading just about everything (mysteries are her first choice for “adult” reading), traveling, listening to audiobooks, and reading with her three grandchildren.
