To be eligible for admission to the FE program, you must hold a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university, have taken the GMAT or GRE within the past five years, and must meet the math prerequisites.

Applicants must submit the following materials:

  1. Application form
  2. Application fee $80.00 (non-refundable)
  3. Official transcripts from every institution previously attended
  4. GRE or GMAT score
    Request that an official GMAT (GMAC code DZK-QS-02) or GRE score be sent to admissions directly from Educational Testing Service (ETS). The GRE code for CGU is 4053.  The Finance department code is 4102.
  5. Resume
  6. Two (2) letters of recommendation from professional sources
  7. Personal Statement
    Write a 3-5 page statement answering the following:
    1. Why is admission to the MSFE important to you?
    2. What special contributions do you believe you will make to Claremont Graduate University?
    3. Describe an ethical dilemma you have encountered and the process by which you resolved the situation.
  8. TOEFL score if you are non-native English-speaking and did not graduate from a U.S. undergraduate institution, to be sent to us directly from ETS. You may also submit an IELTS score.*  The TOEFL institution code is 4053.  The department code is 69 (Engineering, others.) Claremont Graduate University's minimum TOEFL score required for admission is 85.

    * Applicants who hold a degree from a college or university in the United States or any other country where English is the primary language may interview in lieu of submitting a TOEFL or IELTS score.
