Why did you choose to attend Drucker?
I wanted to pair my Stanford undergraduate degree with an MBA from a well-respected graduate school. As I visited various schools to narrow my search, I was impressed with the friendliness of the school’s staff, the quality of the faculty, the small class size, the beautiful campus, and of course, the opportunity to learn from Peter Drucker who was still teaching at the time that I was in the program. Several of my co-workers had attended the school and spoke highly of the program.
How has the Drucker program helped you in your career progression?
The program provided an opportunity to continue my education by focusing on management principles rather than the technical subjects that comprise a significant part of an engineering degree. It has given me the knowledge and confidence to lead projects that have a strategic perspective.
What are the benefits of the Drucker alumni network?
The alumni network provides an opportunity to engage with others who share the Drucker experience/philosophy and who are willing to help each other. Although the Drucker school does not have as large of an alumni network as other MBA programs, I think that those of us who are graduates are very willing to meet with fellow alums and current students since the “club” is relatively small.
What does the Drucker School represent to you?
The school represents a quality education, the opportunity to continue learning and meeting other alumni through various alumni forums/activities.
