Why did you choose to attend Drucker?
There are three primary reasons why I chose CGU and Drucker:
1. Geographic proximity to my home and work
2. Flexible evening and weekend course options that allowed me to pursue my graduate studies around a hectic, full-time work schedule.
3. A unique attitude toward interdisciplinary studies that allowed me to combine my background, experience, and academic training toward what I considered to be the most interesting and promising career development opportunities.
How has the Drucker program helped you in your career progression?
As I transitioned from a scientist to a scientific program director to an executive leader of multiple scientific programs, I have drawn heavily upon the leadership, strategy, and management lessons I learned as a Drucker student. Many situations from cases and examples we worked through in the classroom have subsequently presented themselves in my career. The opportunity to learn from the successes and failures of others has helped me navigate similar challenges as they arise.
What are the benefits of the Drucker alumni network?
My continued interactions with members of the Drucker alumni community are rewarding both socially and intellectually. I am grateful to have continued interactions with a community of like-minded individuals with similar challenges and aspirations who are working individually and collectively toward goals I consider to be important and worthwhile.
What does the Drucker School represent to you?
Especially In these challenging economic times, a solid foundation of ethical management is an essential component of business success. In my opinion, The Drucker School represents an epicenter of management philosophy and practice with a long, distinguished history and a bright, promising future.
