Apply Early and Be Our Guest

 
A select group of early applicants to the full-time MBA program will be invited to attend the Drucker School’s biggest management event of the year – Drucker Day – this November. Applicants who submit a completed application by the early application deadline of November 1, 2009 will be considered for selection for an all-expenses paid trip to the Drucker School in Claremont, California to attend Drucker Day on November 7, 2009.*

 

MBA Program Applicants
To be considered for selection, applicants must:


We recommend submitting your application as early as possible for a greater chance of selection. Applications will be reviewed for selection as they are received. Only applicants to the full-time MBA program will be considered for selection.

 

Selection will be made based on academic achievement (undergraduate record and test scores) as well as the overall strength of the application.

 

* Selection to attend does not guarantee admittance to the program.

Drucker Centennial Fellowship
MBA Program applicants who apply before the November 1st deadline will also receive special consideration for the unique Drucker Centennial Fellowship. This Fellowship will be awarded to applicants with exceptional academic backgrounds and who demonstrate the potential to pursue a successful career in a leadership role. Centennial Fellows will receive a scholarship of up to 50% of tuition costs to be applied to up to 16 units per semester. For more information on the Drucker Centennial Fellowship, click here.

 

Trip to Claremont, California for Drucker Day 2009
Applicants selected to be our guest at Drucker Day 2009 will receive:
  • Round-trip airfare from their current place of residence (nearest major airport) to Claremont, California. The Drucker School will make all travel arrangements.
  • 2 night hotel stay (Friday, November 6 - Saturday, November 7).
  • Transportation between airport, hotel, and Drucker School campus.
  • All meals during the weekend-long stay.
Selected applicants will have the opportunity to participate in Drucker Day, the culmination of Drucker Centennial Week – a week-long celebration marking the 100th birthday of Peter F. Drucker. Drucker Day is an all-day event for Drucker alumni, current students, and friends of the School to listen to great speakers, hear Drucker faculty in conversation with industry leaders, network, and enjoy good food – all in a spectacular setting.

Welcome Reception for Drucker Centennial Day

  • A social and networking event to welcome all those attending Drucker Day
Drucker Centennial Day
Saturday November 7, all day
  • Keynote address by Jim Collins, author of Good to Great, Built to Last and How the Mighty Fall
  • A full-day of headline speakers including: Charles Handy, noted author and co-founder of the London Business School; Bob Shapiro, former CEO of Monsanto; Faye Washington, CEO of YWCA of Greater Los Angeles; Paul Zak, Director of the Center for Neuroeconomics Studies; authors Will Hopper & Bob Nelson, and more
  • On-stage conversations with Drucker School faculty and industry leaders
  • Drucker Expo - an all-day exposition ‘under the tent’ featuring exhibits by Drucker School student organizations, Drucker Career Management and the Drucker Institute – showcasing how to get connected with the local and global Drucker community

Brunch with Doris Drucker
Sunday, November 8, 10 am

  • A Drucker School community gathering with special guest Doris Drucker - physicist, inventor, and wife of famed management scholar and social philosopher Peter Drucker

 

About the Drucker Centennial
The Drucker Centennial marks the 100th birthday of Peter F. Drucker – the father of modern management, author of 39 books on organizational behavior, innovation, economy, and society, and a winner of the Presidential Medal of Freedom. The Centennial is a time of commemoration and celebration of Peter Drucker’s work and legacy and reflects the efforts of the Drucker School and Drucker Institute to ensure that his teachings on effective management, ethical leadership and social responsibility endure into the next century. Drucker Day is the culmination of Drucker Week, which features some of today’s most prominent names in management thinking, including Warren Bennis, Ken Blanchard, Stephen Covey, Charles Handy, and Frances Hesselbein.
