CGU provides a uniquely supportive environment as a member of the Claremont Colleges Consortium of seven independent, private institutions. This allows for an intimate educational experience coupled with the academice breadth and resources of a much larger institution. Many of the 550 faculty members from the undergraduate colleges – Pomona, Scripps, Claremont McKenna, Harvey Mudd, and Pitzer – actively participate in CGU's academic programs. We share a variety of central services, programs, and facilities, including a library system with over 2-million volumes, a bookstore, a student health service, a counseling center, and a chaplains' office and religious center. We also enjoy frequent collaboration with facult in the Humanities, as well as a unique historic cooperation Claremont School of Theology, where our students have access to a collection of 170,000 volumes in the field of religion.
