Established in February 2002, the mission of the Foundation for Indic Philosophy and Culture is the creation of an educational institute at Claremont Graduate University to research Indic philosophy and its impact on the major religions of Asia....
The Foundation serves to facilitate communication between the faculty of The Claremont Colleges, the Indic-American community, and persons interested in the study of early Indic philosophy and its impact on spirituality, art, music, dance, literature, architecture, science, medicine, and other cultural and religious traditions of South Asia.
The Foundation seeks to offer grants and fellowships to qualified researchers, endow a Chair at Claremont Graduate University, and to make an annual award for distinguished achievement in the promotion of international study in Indic philosophy.
The Foundation sponsors social events based on Indic culture for the purpose of raising funds. Designated as a 501 (c) 3 organization by the Internal Revenue Service, donations to the Foundation are tax deductible.
