The Drucker School has launched its fall recruiting efforts and among our upcoming trips are Chicago, Illinois and Houston, Texas.
On October 12-14 Admissions Coordinator Albert Ramos visits Illinois and will make a stop at the University of Illinois at Chicago, DePaul, Loyola Marymount and Wheaton College. If one of these is your school, visit your career center to learn more about how a Drucker School management degree can help you launch your career as a leader in business.
While in Illinois Albert will also visit the Idealist.org Graduate Degree Fair for the Public Good, hosted by the University of Illinois in Chicago. We invite you to attend the fair and drop by to learn more about our programs. It's the perfect opportunity to ask specific questions about the Drucker experience, curriculum, and the application process.
Then on November 6-7, Albert will be in Houston, TX for the National Black pre-MBA Conference – the first annual national conference for current and aspiring entrepreneurs and business professional from all over the United States. The event is hosted by the University of Houston and its goal is to introduce and empower aspiring and promising black MBAs. All future and current MBAs are welcome to attend, learn about the benefits of a graduate business education and take advantage of the exciting opportunity to network and gain a competitive advantage in their career.
Drucker EMBA student Bridget Bell will also be joining Albert in Houston as a student representative, so if you want to hear a student perspective on what it means to be a Drucker student, join us in November at the National Black pre-MBA conference.
The Drucker School attracts students from across the country and around the world to experience our innovative management degree programs, Peter Drucker's philosophy of management as a liberal art, and our commitment to training effective managers and ethical leaders not only for business, but also for government and the nonprofit sector. To see if we'll be in your city in the coming months, visit us at Drucker On the Road.

Drucker Way
|
|
Eleventh Street in Claremont, CA was officially renamed “Drucker Way” in honor of Peter Drucker, the father of modern management.
The renaming of Eleventh Street is part of the Drucker Centennial, which marks Drucker’s 100th birthday. The global celebration, which is being put on by the Drucker School and the Drucker Institute, will be crowned by a week of special events at Claremont Graduate University in November 2009.
“The naming of Drucker Way is a fitting tribute to a great thinker who spent so much productive time here in Claremont amid this remarkable complex of Oxford-like colleges,” said Ira A. Jackson, Dean of the Drucker School. “During his 30 years on the faculty at Claremont Graduate University, Peter walked these streets and ruminated on the meaning of work and society. We are grateful to the mayor and City Council for honoring one of Claremont’s own in this way and allowing us to change our address during the Drucker Centennial to 100 Drucker Way.”
The dedication took place on Thursday, October 8, and was preceded by a State of the School address, led by Dean Jackson. The newly named “Drucker Way” extends one block from College Avenue to Dartmouth Avenue in Claremont, CA.

Close Look: Student Life at Drucker
|
 |
Student life at the Drucker School is busy and diverse. In addition to challenging academic programs Drucker students have access to a variety of student opportunities to apply the tools learned in the classroom to real world situations, while having fun. Students can choose between a number of the special interest clubs such as the Finance and Investment Club, the Management Consulting Club, the Marketing Club, Net Impact and Women in Leadership.* Today we feature one of the newest student clubs – Startups.
Startups is dedicated to helping students navigate the process of starting a business prior to graduation, bringing students together with alumni, and working closely with the Drucker School by providing student-run consulting services related to the strategic goals of the School. The goal of Startups is to augment in-classroom learning with hands-on technical knowledge and an environment conducive to learning.
The club hosts monthly speaker events, alumni power networking events, and weekly working sessions for strategic consulting projects with the Drucker School. In addition, the club will endorse business startups by current and former members to assist in credibility, especially in areas of international business.
