Media Clearinghouses

The following is a compendium of internet resources useful to the student of scriptures.

A-Infos Radio Project - Politically progressive site that houses audio files of academic lectures and underground radio segments, often with high-profile guest interviews. Search by keyword, date, producer, filename, and type of media.

California Missions - Photographs of all 21 California missions with an analytical essay, maps, and artist biographies.

Internet Archive - Conceived as a digital library of cultural artifacts, this groundbreaking project archives the entire internet since 1996 (the WayBackMachine), allowing users to access different versions of websites that have since been 'rewritten.' Especially useful when researching changing media reactions to particular events/phenomena over time. Also has completely searchable video, audio and text archives.

Internet Mission Photography Digital Archive - Searchable image database specializing in the mission history of California.

New York Public Library Digital Collection - Provides online access to texts, images, sound recordings, maps and other materials drawn from the collections of the New York. Especially strong in history of immigration and African Americans in the Northeast.

Women Working, 1800-1930 - Provides access to digitized historical, manuscript, and image resources selected from Harvard's library and museum collections.
