At the School of Community and Global Health (SCGH) we are committed to research and education, at both the local and global levels, that enhances the health and well-being of individuals in their communities. This means preventing disease and suffering. It also means optimizing the well-being of individuals through personal growth and enriched community environments. At SCGH, we believe workable solutions arise through a combination of science and community action. Our focus includes the health and safety of native peoples in targeted regions, as well as people in transition within and across national boundaries. SCGH’s unique programs of education and action research take on some of the most vexing health challenges facing our region and our world.
