The issue with Users not being able to log into the Sakai Server is now fixed. CMC suffered a catastrophic failure in our secondary data center. Just last week we lost cooling to the facility due to a lack of chilled water. It appears that the high temperatures have done their damage. Two switches simultaneously began to deteriorate and become dysfunctional on Saturday evening at approximately 9:54PM PDT. We were slow to respond because this also took out our monitoring systems. The next morning we noticed the issue and have been stabilizing things throughout the day. The Sakai Server is hosted out of our secondary data center and I have confirmed that it stopped serving authentication requests at approximately 12:00AM Sunday morning. The Server is now back online and servicing requests. We will continue to monitor the service closely.
