The rapid escalation of chronic diseases – cardiovascular disease, cancer, diabetes, and others – is evident throughout the developed and developing world. Chronic diseases now account for over sixty percent of the world’s mortality and morbidity with eighty percent occurring in developing nations.
The symposium will feature speakers from public health leadership and practice in China and the US, who will share the challenges facing their communities as well as researchers, practitioners, individuals from business who are working on innovative solutions to reduce the human and economic burden of chronic disease.
