Career goals
Short term career plan after graduation would be to join an investment bank as an analyst where I can put my skill set taught at the Drucker School into actual practice. I would then like to get an MBA in Finance before settling into my long term goal of starting my own investment advisory company specializing in providing organization start up investment and retirement investment solutions.

Drucker always believed in ethical leadership and effective man management and this is the need of the hour to tackle the financial crisis. The Drucker School instills these values in each of its students which would definitely help me succeed in real life.

Describe your classroom experience at Drucker
Classroom Experience is one area where I feel the Drucker School has always excelled and I really do not see any reason as to why it will not get better in the coming years. Having good faculty at school is one thing but, having a good faculty which can provide an informative yet enjoyable classroom experience; that’s the Drucker School.

How Drucker prepares me for real-life success
The world today is going through a major economic crisis, some say, possibly the worst in mankind history. Greed and hunger for power drove this economy to where it is now. Peter Drucker always believed in ethical leadership and effective man management and this is the need of the hour to tackle the financial crisis. The Drucker School instills these values in each of its students which would definitely help me succeed in real life.

Your most memorable experience at Drucker...
My experience, as a whole at the Drucker School so far has been memorable and I really cannot single out ONE SINGLE EXPERIENCE. But if I had to think of just one for the records it would have to be my interaction with one of India’s most respected and successful entrepreneur; Mr. Nandan Nilekani: ex CEO, Infosys Technologies Ltd. This interaction would not have been possible without the help of two very instrumental people at the Drucker School: Dean Ira Jackson and Prof. Vijay Sathe. Sharing the same platform and for that matter the same photo frame with one of most influential person in Indian business is a dream for many, like me, the only difference being, the Drucker School helped me realize this dream.

What places do you like to visit in Claremont?
Claremont, being a small town, there are not many places to see, but the ones that can be visited are really worth visiting. Mt Baldy for example, make you feel like you are in heaven!! It is beautiful with the snow around in winter. Apart from that, the Claremont Village has quite a few good restaurants, some of which are a must try.

Peter Drucker said,
Tell me what you’re going to do on Monday that’s different.

This is a classic Peter Drucker quote and by far my favorite. In today’s world, Competition exists; whether you like it or not. To survive in this environment of cut throat competition one needs to be creative and innovative at each step. Most people are happy doing the same mundane things over and over again. But to get somewhere higher, one has to be innovative. There are ideas always hovering in the human mind. To get the ideas out in the right way is the key and getting these ideas out in the open is of utmost importance because one would never know which one of the 10 ideas in the mind is a life changing idea.
