The Student Executive Committee is selected in the spring of each academic year and is the primary liaison between SPE students and faculty. The committee is also involved in the orienting of new students to their particular departments and to the whole of Claremont Graduate University. It will also be actively participating in the mentoring of incoming students especially those entering their PhD track. The SEC also works closely with the CGU Graduate Student Council (GSC) to ensure a strong and reciprocal relationship between all students, their faculty, their departments, and their university.
A Few Words from the Chair
We are always looking for new members and volunteers to add to our ranks this upcoming year. Many students continually express a desire to participate in the affairs of the school and their department. Joining the ranks of the SEC is one of those opportunities. In addition, 2007-2008 looks to be a very busy and productive year for the committee. As such, we encourage you to contact any of us with any questions, suggestions or comments.
