Financial aid information is available through the Claremont Graduate University Office of Student Financing. The Office of Student Financing coordinates the need-based financial packages for both incoming and enrolled students, including federal loans. This office also administers federal work-study awards and assists students in obtaining private student loans. They can be reached at 909.621.8337.

At Claremont Graduate University, you can pay for your education through:

Departmental Aid

Departmental aid is coordinated by your school and consists of fellowships and assistantships. At the School of Community and Global Health, the majority of departmental aid is in the form of research assistantships with faculty. These positions require students to work with faculty on research projects, allowing students to gain financial support and valuable practical experience prior to graduation. For more information on SCGH departmental aids contact Margaret.Hawkins@cgu.edu.

Loans

The decision to pursue graduate studies can be an investment. By combining fellowships, research assistantships, and loans to offset the cost of tuition, our students are able to finance their education.  All loans are processed through the Office of Student Financing.

Merit-based awards

Many outside scholarships, fellowships, and awards exist for graduate students. These can be found through CGU Student Financing or by investigating various online clearinghouses
