Dr. Joha Louw-Potgieter, University of Cape Town
12:00-1:00 pm
This presentation focuses on three Masters' dissertations completed at the University of Cape Town. All three are theory-driven evaluations and illustrate:
- how difficult it is to elicit a programme theory from a client
- how to add value to the client's theory by means of social science research
- what insights first time evaluators gained from doing a real-life evaluation
The domains of the three dissertations are: a community gardening programme; a refugee programme; and the Poverty Hearings Programme of 2008 in South Africa.
This meeting is a part of Dr. Tarek Azzam's "Research in Evaluation" meeting series.
