Entrepreneur Magazine teamed with The Princeton Review, the education services company widely known for its test prep programs and "best" colleges and graduate schools lists, and named The Drucker School of Management one of the best schools in the country where MBA students can get an education in environmentally friendly business fields.
Drucker is one of 16 graduate schools of business chosen by the magazine. The rankings appear in an article titled "A Sustainable Degree" in the magazine's April 2011 issue.
The Princeton Review selected the schools based on the company's survey of administrators at 325 graduate schools of business in 2009-2010 and of students attending the schools. Administrators were surveyed on their school's academics, curricula, campus policies and student services related to sustainability, social responsibility and the environment. Students were polled on how well they felt their MBA programs were educating them for careers in "green business" fields.
The schools on the list are ordered alphabetically and were not individually ranked.
In selecting Drucker, the magazine cited the school's special courses on sustainability as well as the 2009 victory of CGU students in the Net Impact Case Competition, which challenges students to come up with a sustainable plan for a real company.

For the second consecutive year, The Drucker School of Management at Claremont Graduate University was named as one of the top 15 MBA programs in the nation for general management by its students. The report was generated by the
Princeton Review.
The list, titled, “Student Opinion Honors for Business Schools,” will be published in the April 2010 issue of
Entrepreneur Magazine.
It is also available online.
“There are many rankings of business schools, but only one that captures the voice of the single most important constituency: students themselves, the paying customers,” said Drucker Dean Ira Jackson. “For Drucker to be ranked among the Top 15 business schools by MBAs for the second year in a row is gratifying and affirms that we are delivering what we promise and what students most value. The global economic crisis cries out for the kind of unique, values-oriented MBA education that Drucker provides.”
The
Princeton Review compiled the lists using data from its national survey of 19,000 MBA students attending 301 business schools. The 80-question survey asked students to report on classroom and campus experiences at their schools and rate their MBA programs in several areas. The
Princeton Review tallied the “Student Opinion Honors” lists based on students’ assessments of how well (on a five-point scale) they felt their business school courses had prepared them in each of the six areas.
Says Robert Franek, SVP/Publisher, The
Princeton Review, “We commend the schools on these lists for the outstanding job they are doing in preparing their students to apply their MBA training beyond the classroom to successful job searches and productive careers. We know this will be particularly meaningful to b-school applicants in these challenging economic times.”
