Andrew King

Biography

I have spent my four years of teaching at La Puente High School where I have taught US History, Advanced Placement US History, and Civics & Economics. I currently serve as the Director of Student Activities and US History Lead. I previously held the position of Interim Assistant Principal of Activities. When not incorporating technology into my history lectures, I am organizing rallies and dances, taking my students to the Nevada Nuclear Test Site, managing the Leadership class, or coordinating the annual East Coast Field Trip. I take pride that my classroom is filled with items to capture the imagination: Civil War relics, a homemade telegraph, and an astrolabe. I believe that teaching is about handing students a toolkit with which to shape the world.
