Tom Horan, PhD - Chief Executive Officer
Dr. Horan brings 25 years of applied research and development in health IT and related innovations. Dr Horan is the founding Director of the Kay Center for E-Health Research at Information Systems and Technology at the Claremont Graduate University (CGU). The Kay Center has focused on electronic and personal health systems use in diverse communities, including research on PHR use in vulnerable populations. Dr. Horan has played a major national role in the development of consumer-oriented systems, including serving on the Secretary of Health and Human Services's American Health Information Community (AHIC).
Frank Zanka, MBA - Chief Operations Officer
Frank contributes more than 20 years of experience in general management, technology development, and business development experience to HealthATM. He leverages his years of industry experience, including founders experience, and professional contacts to provide the general management of business operations, market strategy, and corporate development. Frank recently completed a strategic study and systems design for a 15-city county region in the bay area of California, providing leadership and expert consulting for the redesign of a healthcare emergency medical services data system supporting 10 fire departments, 1300 EMT’s, 700 paramedics, and related city and healthcare entities. Until 2009, Frank served as Vice President of Business Development & Operations for an internet-based e-Healthcare venture providing business execution in helping close $10 Million in venture funding, launching operations, and managing both Technology and Client Services Vice Presidents and staffs.
Nathan Botts, PhD - Chief Technology Officer
Nathan Botts is an information technology expert and received his Ph.D. in Information Systems and Technology from Claremont Graduate University. His focus is on community health informatics research and development of personal health record systems (PHR). Nathan currently oversees technology development for the HealthATM project which is focused on providing PHRs to diverse and under-served populations. He is engaged in projects associated with personal and electronic health records, health IT adoption, community informatics systems for medically underserved & low-income populations, social network management & human-computer interface design.
Brian Thoms has 15 years of experience working in the technology sector building software. In 2009, he received his Ph.D. in Information Systems and Technology from Claremont Graduate University, specializing in online collaborative environments. As Chief Software Engineer and Research Associate, Brian is responsible for the construction and evaluation of the HealthATM system.
