I am very impressed with my fellow students, they are all very sharp and bring great experiences into our classroom discussions, and they are willing to help me out.
Career goals I’m currently looking for a marketing internship for the summer of 2011. My objective is to work in a mid-sized marketing company that shares my values. In addition to my full-time career, I plan to start a part-time professional mentoring business.

Why Drucker? The MAPEB curriculum fits my needs better than any other schools I had looked at. I wanted to be in a region that had a big business climate, a school that had name recognition, an active alumni group for mentoring, and access to hard hitting academics like Dr. Paul Zak, Dr. Jean Lipman-Blumen, and Dr. Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi. I became aware of their work as an undergraduate and became fascinated from then on.

What are your expectations of the MAPEB program? To reach my full potential, to publish a paper, get a great internship, and absorb as much as I can from my peers and my professors. Oh, and I also hope to get better playing table tennis at Drucker Thursday Socials.

Your experience in the classroom My classroom experience has exceeded my expectations. My professors have been very personable and supportive in cultivating my academic interests. Also, I am very impressed with my fellow students, they are all very sharp and bring great experiences into our classroom discussions, and they are willing to help me out when I’m stuck on a math problem.

Your most memorable experience at Drucker? I would have to say the 3-day orientation was a highlight. After the first day of orientation I instantly knew I belonged here. I felt at home with everyone, and we still talk about the orientation’s team building exercises. If you’re a prospective student reading this, don’t skip out on orientation, especially the workshop with Dr. Jeremy Hunter.

Favorite places in Claremont/Southern California? The local mountains for hiking; Pasadena’s night life; San Diego, and Los Angeles.

What is your favorite Drucker quote? The best way to predict the future is to create it.
One of the ways I plan on creating my future is by starting a professional mentoring business. Classes like Dr. Jeremy Hunter’s are further equipping me with the tools to not only be analytically strong, but also tactful under stress. Essentially I plan on developing a program that will ratchet young professionals up to the next level.
