In the box labeled "Email", enter your entire CGU alumni email address (generally, it is email@example.com. edu).
Type in the password for your alumni email account. And click on the “Sign in” button.
If this is your first time logging into your alumni email account, you will need to click on the “I accept” button. You will then be asked to reset your password.
In the upper right corner of the email web page, click on the gear icon. Then click on “Settings”.
On the settings page, click on “Accounts”.
Then click on “Add a POP3 mail account you own”.
A new window will pop up. Type your CGU student email address into the box and click on the “Next Step” button.
Type the user name that you use to check your CGU student email in the user name box.
Type the password you use to check your CGU student email in the password box.
Type “pop.student.cgu.edu” in the POP Server box. Select “995” for the Port number.
Make sure there is a check mark in the box next to “Always use a secure connection”.
When you are ready, click on the “Add Account” button.
*** We recommend that you put a check in the box next to “Leave a copy on the server”. This will allow a copy of your student emails to remain on CGU’s computers. When you delete a student email on the alumni email account, that same email will still be on CGU’s computers.
If you do not put a check in the box next to “Leave a copy on the server”, then all emails that are transferred to your alumni email account will be removed from your CGU student email account.
On the next window, we recommend that you select “No”, since your CGU student email account will be disabled in the near future. If you select yes, you may encounter errors when you try to send email after your CGU student email account has been disabled.
Click the “Finish” button.
Your alumni email account will start to retrieve your email from your CGU student email account. It may take a while to retrieve all of your emails if you have many.
