(The rate is the 10-year Treasury note plus 3.6% and has a 9.5% cap.)

07/01/2013 Message from Financial Aid Office:
Many of you may have heard that federally subsidized Stafford student loans doubled overnight from 3.4 percent to 6.8 percent. As of July 1, 2012, graduate students were no longer eligible for subsidized loans. Consequently, this interest change does not affect you in any way; undergrad subsidized is now 6.8, which is the current rate that all graduate students have been charged since 2006. Any Stafford subsidized loans you may have borrowed between 2006 and 2012 have a set interest rate of 6.8 that is deferred while you are in-school status registered for 4 units or Doctoral Studies/Continuous Registration. Thank you.
