How it Works

Tech Clinic projects typically include both business and technical components. Students may be asked to analyze a business challenge, develop a solution strategy, or design and build a technology.  The actual deliverables for each Clinic are negotiated by the student team and the sponsoring organization. Students are expected to spend about one-third of their time on the projects. Generally, projects:

• Include teams of 3-5 students
• Run for 2 semesters, from September through May (though 1 semester projects are also possible)
• Are completed with approximately 2000 - 2500 student person hours
• Require a liason from the sponsoring organization
• Include 1 faculty member to act as an advisor and course instructor
• Are primarily completed on campus, with site visits as needed to the sponsoring organization
