CGU's BCLAD Support

What is the BCLAD?
In California, teachers who provide instruction in another language other than in English are required to receive a bilingual teaching authorization called the Bilingual, Crosscultural, Language, and Academic Development (BCLAD) certificate. There are two ways of earning a BCLAD: 1) going through a specific BCLAD program or 2) passing the state's BCLAD exam. CGU does not offer a specific BCLAD program, but it does offer coursework that helps teachers pass the Spanish BCLAD exam.
