Cultural Studies with a
concentration in MUSEUM STUDIES


Students enrolled in the Master of Arts Degree in Cultural Studies may complete a concentration in Museum Studies. Required courses for the concentration include:  

  • Introduction to Cultural Studies I and II
  • Field Research Methods
  • Two Museum Theory and History Seminars 
  • Internship

Additional units shall be completed in courses offered by the Cultural Studies Department, other CGU departments, and/or by approved courses taught by faculty of The Claremont Colleges. For residence and other general requirements, see the "Degree Regulations" section of the Bulletin. Students may also complete the museum studies concentration with a Ph.D. 

Language Requirement
The candidate must demonstrate reading proficiency in one language other than English.
