Art Admissions and Portfolio Review

In addition to all other materials requested in the application for admission to Claremont Graduate University, art applicants must submit a portfolio of representative work for evaluation. Portfolios will only be accepted through the online service provided by SlideRoom.com (http://www.claremont.slideroom.com).

Portfolios should consist of 15 images of recent artwork that represent a cohesive body of work. Performance and/or video artists may submit work that is no longer than 3 minutes in length.

Please note that a one-page artist statement, a summary of educational information and the names of your three references will also need to be provided with your SlideRoom portfolio submission.

The GRE is not a requirement for admission into the Art Department.

Deadlines for submissions:
Spring semester: November 1
Fall semester: February 1 (late review-July 1)
