In our ongoing pursuit of a more diverse and productive program, CGU has initiated the first phase in our Sculpture Facility expansion. The emphasis of this project is primarily to develop the building's rear sculpture yard to accommodate the growing material and fabrication needs of our student body. Currently we're grading the yard and this month we'll be installing a new metal shop and plastics/casting booth. The building is approximately one thousand square feet and is slated to open in January.
Over the next four years, we will continue this trajectory with the complete grading, paving, and covering of the rear workspace. Simultaneously, we're in the process of replacing and acquiring a large number of new machines for wood working, metal working, mold making, and casting.
