Incompletes

A student who has received an Incomplete will be required to make up the work by such time as is stipulated by the instructor after consultation with the student, but in no case later than one calendar year from the time at which the work was originally due. If the Incomplete is not made up within the specified time, it will become a permanent part of the student's record (PI). If a student feels that he or she cannot complete the work for the class in the time allotted, he or she can file a petition for extension of incomplete grade.

Degree candidates expecting to graduate in a given semester must have removed all Incompletes as well as completed all course work prior to the last day of the semester. If such Incompletes are not removed, the degree will be granted in the subsequent term, subject to the successful removal of the Incompletes.

If all academic and institutional degree requirements, including the removal of Incompletes, are finished prior to the day of registration for the next semester, the student need not register for the next term even though the degree will be granted during that term. In other instances, current CGU regulations require that the student register during the semester in which the degree is to be granted.
