Commitment: Teacher looks on at student holding a book
Teacher Education Leadership

A world-class teacher preparation program requires a world-class staff. The program’s faculty are drawn from a wide range of backgrounds and fields of expertise and possess extensive experience in today’s educational environment, but all are committed to our unique vision of excellence, equity and integrity, and all are scholar practitioners. Their extensive K-12
experience as well as their exemplary academic grounding allow them to effectively link theory to practice.

With individualized attention being a hallmark of the program, each student
is provided a faculty advisor as a personal mentor and guide. The average faculty advisor to student ratio is 1:8. These educators provide the candidates with a foundation in the best of contemporary classroom practice, theory and professional preparation. The program’s staff also uphold the ideals of excellence, equity and integrity as they provide personal attention and support to our students.
