A rigorous research focus is the hallmark of our PhD program. Students attending both full and part-time are expected to get involved in faculty supported research projects early in their PhD career as the knowledge attained through these projects can inform both the content and direction of your dissertation. Students seeking to cross academic boundaries by combining two disciplines in one degree program are encouraged to do so through our interfield PhD option, one of the most innovative and unique features of doctoral study at CGU.
You will discover that the School of Information Systems and Technology provides an incredibly productive and rewarding educational experience for those seeking to earn their Ph.D. The fact that we’ve produced more Ph.D. graduates in IS over the past 17 years than any other institution in the nation is a testament to both the dedication of our faculty as well as the quality of our candidates. As a Ph.D. candidate you will find yourself in good company as we attract students from such elite institutions as Carnegie Mellon, Cornell, Duke, George Washington and Yale. Our Ph.D. graduates have gone on to careers in education, research and executive leadership with both local and international organizations. Earning your PhD at CGU SISAT promises to be one the most challenging and rewarding experiences of your life; we look forward to guiding you on this journey.
