About GSC Representatives & Delegates
 

Representatives and Delegates from each of CGU's schools serve on the GSC to present ideas and concerns of the students from their respective schools. Through this collective effort, the GSC stives to accomplish it's mission to better understand and address the needs of the diverse graduate student population at CGU. 

Each school has 2 representatives on the GSC. In addition, each school has a number of delegates determined in proportion to the total student population of the school as stipulated in our consititution.

CGU School Representatives have the authority to vote on all council issues, including elections, constitutional amendments and proposals

CGU School Delegates have the authority to vote on council issues relating to student body considerations and organizational funding opportunities, excluding elections, constitutional amendments and proposals.

All members of the GSC must be currently enrolled in a degree program in the school they represent. No member may serve on the Council for more than four terms.



ADDITIONAL RESOURCES FOR REPRESENTATIVES & DELEGATES

All Council members including executive officers are required to attend regularly scheduled meetings.  Representatives and delegates each have single voting authority.  All council members shall conduct themselves according to the following

Attend meetings and functions of the GSC and vote on issues on behalf of the students in your academic degree program or department.

Participate in GSC committees, including attending regularly scheduled committee meetings.  
 
Inform their constituents, graduate program advisors, department heads and graduate student organization within their constituencies about GSC activities and events.
 
Meet regularly with students, faculty and administration in their academic degree program or department to generate and listen to proper input.
 
Report to the Council any concerns, activities or issues in their academic degree program or department.
 
Participate in CGU Committees as directed by the GSC President.
