Holiday Roundup
There's lots to celebrate in the Spring. Visit the Stone Center and check out books from our special displays featuring books that make good reading for the whole family, including books for Passover (April 20- 27), Mother's Day (May 11), and Memorial Day (May 26).
April 2 is International Children's Books Day. sponsored by the International Board of Books for Young People, which is held on Hans Christian Andersen's Birthday. During the month of April check out some books by Hans Christian Andersen as well as by other international authors and illustrators from our display of favorite international books published in 2007.
April 12-18 is Young People's Poetry Week. Check out a recently published collection from the special poetry display.
Get some ideas on "going green" in the books in the Stone Center's collection and celbrate Earth Day (April 22).
And the Winner Is...
We have moved the collections of award winning books for children and young adults to the front porch. Check out one of the 2008 award winners or reread an old favorite.

In addition to the Stone Center's latest acquisitions, the New York Times Book Review's weekly listings of bestselling fiction, picture books, and series are on display on the front porch making it easy to locate these hot titles.

Saturdays, 10:00 am - 11:00 pm
Stories and related book activities for toddlers and lower elementary grade children. Parents must stay with children throughout the session.
