| Jean Schroedel is the Chair of the Politics and Policy Department at the School of Politics and Economics, as well as a professor. Areas of specialization include American politics, executive-Congressional relations, Congress and public policy; the modern presidency; American political development; women in the political process, state regulation of the fetus, gender politics in the workplace, race and sex discrimination in employment; AIDS policymaking, gun control, and women and the law. Schroedel’s recent book, Is the Fetus a Person? A Comparison of Policies Across the Fifty States, was awarded the American Political Science Association’s 2001 Victoria Schuck Award. She is currently editing a two volume study for the Russell Sage Foundation on the impact of Christianity on democracy in the United States. |
