Hazem H. Chehabi, MD, is a nuclear medicine physician and the medical director of the Newport Diagnostic Center in Newport Beach, California. Dr. Chehabi is a fellow of the American College of Nuclear Medicine and the American College of Nuclear Physicians. He graduated from the University of Damascus Medical School in 1981. Dr. Chehabi completed his internship at St. Mary’s Hospital and Medical Center and his residencies at the West Los Angeles VA Medical Center and the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine. He also completed fellowships at the University of California School of Medicine and the University of Texas Health Science Center.
Dr. Chehabi serves as an assistant clinical professor in the Department of Radiological Sciences at the University of California, Irvine’s School of Medicine. He is a member of the California Medical Association, American Medical Association, Society of Nuclear Medicine, and the Orange County Medical Association.
Chehabi joined the Claremont Graduate University Board of Trustees in 2013.
