POSTPONED: 2021 Futurity and Future Publics: A Quarter Century of Cultural Studies at Claremont Graduate University – “Future/History/Museum: In Conversation with Kevin Young”

The Cultural Studies Department at Claremont Graduate University hosted a semester-long series of events to celebrate its 25th anniversary. Join us for the last Bradshaw Conference event “Future/History/Museum: In Conversation with Kevin Young,” Director of the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture.

This discussion will range across the multitude of thoughts, concerns and ideas that emerge while trying to manage a national historical museum in the midst of profound change: reckonings, pandemic, leadership. Director Young will describe his view of the future of the museum, stewarding an institution that focuses on the past and engages with the present and future. Please join us for the final event of the CGU Cultural Studies 25th Anniversary Conference.

Discussant: Joshua Goode (Cultural Studies, CGU). Director of the Museum Studies Program
