2021 Futurity and Future Publics: A Quarter Century of Cultural Studies at Claremont Graduate University – “Future Museum/Museum Future: The Decolonized Museum”

The Cultural Studies Department at Claremont Graduate University is hosting a semester-long series of events to celebrate its 25th anniversary. Join us for our next Bradshaw Conference event “Future Museum/Museum Future: The Decolonized Museum.”

Does decolonizing the museum mean a radical departure in modes of displaying collections, explaining collections, maintaining collections or in the defense of the very notion of the museum as it has developed historically? Speakers: Tukufu Zuberi (University of Pennsylvania) and Pilar Tompkins Rivas (The Lucas Museum of Narrative Art.)

Discussant: Joshua Goode (Cultural Studies, CGU).
