As part of our seminar series on systematic and evolutionary botany, members of Rancho Santa Ana Botanic Garden’s Research Group will be giving a series of short talks and poster presentations on their most recent scientific findings:
• Dylan Cohen: Herbarium genomics: Testing for phylogenetic signal and assessing rarity in Chilean Loasaceae
• Maria Jesus: A vascular flora of Conglomerate Mesa and Malpais Mesa, Inyo County, CA
• Dr. Carrie Kiel: Is pollen involved too? Floral traits and pollinators in New World Justicia (Acanthaceae)
Seminars are open to all – please check in at the Kiosk and tell Admissions staff that you are here for the seminar. You will be admitted at no charge and directed to the venue. Out of respect for seminar speakers and to limit disruptions, guests of the Botany Seminar Series will not be admitted to the Garden after 4:10 pm.
