Botany Seminars by Rancho Santa Ana Botanic Garden’s Research Group

As part of our seminar series on systematic and evolutionary botany, members of Rancho Santa Ana Botanic Garden’s Research Group will be giving a series of short talks and poster presentations on their most recent scientific findings:

  • Nico Medina: Strangler figs and diversification processes in the Neotropics
  • Robert Comito: A RADseq phylogeny of Barleria (Acanthaceae) resolves fine-scale relationships
  • Christina Varnava: Exploring botanical diversity in the ashes of the Thomas Fire: A vascular flora of the western Sespe Creek Watershed
  • Carolyn Mills: A vascular flora of the Nopah Range, Inyo County, California

Seminars are open to all – please check in at the Kiosk and tell Admissions staff that you are here for the seminar. You will be admitted at no charge and directed to the venue. Out of respect for seminar speakers and to limit disruptions, guests of the Botany Seminar Series will not be admitted to the Garden after 4:10 pm.
