Bridging Intersectionality and Decolonization with Fashion: A Conversation with Aditi Mayer

SLDL is kicking off a new program called, kin·dle! The goal of kin·dle is to help continuing students build community within their academic departments, and the university at large. A major factor in successfully completing a graduate program is the formation of academic and collegiate kin·ship. Through kin·dle, students can learn and connect with their peers on topics such as identity, career, passion, and life stages throughout their program.

For our first event, we invite you to join us for a conversation with Aditi Mayer where she’ll discuss how to bridge intersectionality and decolonization with sustainable fashion on Thursday, March 25,2021 at 6:00 pm PDT! Aditi’s talk will focus on the history of fast fashion, and discuss how culture and identity impacts the work we do. Following her talk, there will be an opportunity for Q&A.
