The Inspire Speaker Program: How Games Can Change the World

“Reality is broken. Game designers can fix it…” – Jane McGonigal

Video game pioneer and TED-talk star Jane McGonigal Jane McGonigal discusses how games can be used as powerful tools for tackling real-world problems, such as poverty, hunger and climate change. Can a game designer win the Nobel Prize? McGonigal thinks they can — and will.

The event is free and open to the public but tickets are required. Reserve tickets online or at the Bridges Auditorium box office (Monday – Friday, 1:00 am – 4:00 pm  |  909-607-1139). For more information and to add to your calendar, visit the Pomona College website.

The Inspire Speaker Program is made possible by a gift from the Broe Family, and brings to Pomona College non-traditional thinkers and doers who will inspire the Pomona community to contemplate how they might achieve their dreams and “bear their added riches” in their chosen fields.
