Join us as our current PhD Candidate, Temitayo (Tayo) Arikenbi, answers questions about his academic journey with the Center for Information Systems and Technology department. During this online session with Assistant Director of Admissions Gabriela Krupa, we will discuss the student experience.
“I still have a long way to go here at CGU. But between the academic engagements, and the opportunities to support research and educational functions, it is a journey that I am sure will turn out to be the most impactful career choice that I have made.” -Temitayo (Tayo) Arikenbi
A second-year doctoral student in Information Systems. He is also pursuing a master’s degree in Economics. His dual-degree program typifies the transdisciplinary nature of academic studies and opportunities at Claremont Graduate University. Tayo’s area of interest is in data science and analytics modelling for value optimization in organizations. He is a fellow with the Digital Learning Lab of CGU’s Office of Information Technology, where he facilitates workshops on the use of basic technologies available to students, such as PowerPoint and Python. An international student himself, Tayo is invested in helping new students from outside the U.S. settle in and maximize the opportunities that being a Claremont student offers them.
