“Wednesdays in the Word”* is excited to host a special guest speaker. Mary Poplin, professor in the School of Educational Studies at Claremont Graduate University, will discuss a spiritually, socially, and educationally-related topic. Poplin will describe her late foray into Christianity and a few insights from the Bible on today’s topics.
It’s an absolute honor to be able to hear from Professor Poplin who worked with Mother Teresa in 1996. Here is her profile: https://www.cgu.edu/people/mary-simpson-poplin/
*“Wednesdays in the Word” is a Christian group for students, faculty, and staff, and other friends too, that meets once a week on Zoom from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm PDT on Wednesdays. The group is connected to the official Claremont Graduate University student group called “Claremont Graduate Christian Fellowship.” It is open to anyone no matter their background or beliefs. It is a safe place for people to learn more about Jesus Christ, receive prayer, study the Bible, talk, and know they are loved. We alternate between a Bible Study one week and a time of catching up, prayer and sharing how we are all doing the alternate week. It is a blessing to see God’s hand move at CGU, the Claremont Colleges community and beyond! All are welcome so feel free to invite anyone!
