The School of Educational Studies invites the CGU community to our annual spring lecture featuring Martin V. Bonsangue, PhD, Chair of the Department of Mathematics at California State University, Fullerton.

Lecture Title: America’s Math Story: Where We’ve Been, Where We Are, Where We Could Be

Lecture Summary: This presentation traces the history of mathematics teaching and learning in the United States in parallel with the speaker’s own journey as a mathematics teacher.

Martin V. Bonsangue, PhD has taught mathematics at the middle school, high school, community college, and university levels. He has published numerous articles and has served as principal investigator or co-principal investigator on more than ten million dollars in external grants designed to strengthen mathematics teaching and learning. In 2011 he received the Outstanding Professor award at Cal State Fullerton.
